A high-achieving Special Educational Needs (SEN) school group in Trowbridge, Wiltshire, is seeking a dedicated and passionate Part-time English and Maths Teacher to join their permanent staff. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of students with special educational needs.

Position:

  • Role: Part-time English and Maths Teacher
  • Days: Monday to Wednesday
  • Location: Trowbridge, Wiltshire
  • Type: Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in English and Maths tailored to the needs of SEN students.
  • Use innovative and engaging teaching methods to support the learning and development of each student.
  • Assess and monitor students' progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and staff.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
  • Maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience teaching English and Maths, preferably within an SEN setting.
  • Strong understanding of the needs and challenges faced by SEN students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.

Desirable:

  • Experience working with children with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities.
  • Additional qualifications or training in SEN education.
