General Foreman

We're looking for a General Foreman to join our Kier Transportation team and assist on several rail projects across the Greater Manchester area.

Location: Greater Manchester area.

Business Area: Kier Transportation, Rail

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

 

What will your responsibilities be?

As a General Foreman, you'll be working within the Kier Transportation team, supporting the Rail business and help to expand our capability and geographical presence as a tier 1 contractor working for Network Rail and other Rail clients.

Your day to day will include:

  • Deliver work packages to agreed programmes and liaise with operational delivery teams.
  • Attendance at regular meetings to ensure clear communication channels are in place, to report on progress; identify problems and any keep records of any variations to the scope of works both internally and externally.

  • Oversee the co-ordination of operatives, subcontractors, and suppliers in your section of works in a planned and controlled manner ensuring efficiency and minimising costs.
  • Ensure the project is safely delivered on time, to budget and achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction.

 

What are we looking for?

  • Experience in a similar role within the highways and rail sector
  • CSCS card holder
  • SMSTS and First Aid
