Key Skills, Functional Experience & Qualifications

Substantial HR experience, some of which should be in a similar role in a large or medium sized organisation, the role holder will have experience of partnering at director level and ideally should be a Professional Member of CIPD or demonstrate the equivalent experienceThe role holder will have self-belief in their personal ability to make a difference to the business. They will have excellent interpersonal skills, including effective relationship building and influencing skills. As an experienced business partner, they will have a high level of emotional intelligence and be diplomatic and confident working across a wide range of stakeholders with the ability to quickly establish and maintain credibility with Directors, Managers and Colleagues. Effective judgement and decision making is needed alongside the ability to create innovative and flexible solutions to business issues. Good written and spoken communication and be accurate and confident when dealing with data. They will have Strong commercial acumen with excellent questioning and analytical skills which are critical in adding value to the business. The role requires high levels of initiative and attention to detail with a creative approach to problem solving. Good project skills are required to lead a range of projects.A highly customer centric approach with a proven track record of tenacious delivery, demonstrable business understanding and strategic awareness ensuring that HR plays a pivotal role in delivery of business goals.Strong IT skills, with experience of Microsoft Office, HR databases and excellent spread sheet skills are essential. A demonstrable knowledge and understanding of employment law and its application is required with the ability to apply that knowledge to a range of situations and contexts.
