The post holder will ideallyhave previous NHS experience and be happy working as part of a team deliveringOccupational Therapy in a community setting. They must be able to demonstrateinitiative and prioritise a complex workload whilst working both as anautonomous practitioner and as part of a team.

Main duties of the job

To assess and identify the individual needsof patients, to clinically diagnose and implement treatment plans ifappropriate in a manner that respects peoples privacy, dignity, and individuality

To formulate and deliver an individualisedphysiotherapy treatment programme, including manual therapy techniques,therapeutic handling, patient education, provision of exercise(individual/group), and other alternative options

To record and report findings appropriatelyfollowing the standard procedures used by the department to maintain highlevels of written/verbal communication

To assist Clinical Therapy Manager/TeamLeader in service development and the provision of a quality service

To take responsibility for junior membersof staff and delegate duties as necessary, always providing appropriate levelof support

To be responsible for maintaining owncompetency and self-development
