Job summary – What to expect:
As Financial Accounting Manager, you’ll play a key part in ensuring continuity of business as usual activities in accounting operations and financial reporting during the implementation / transition process of our Finance legacy system to Oracle.
You’ll oversee the day-to-day activities of the Financial Reporting team, ensuring timely submission of quality deliverables for US GAAP reporting and maintaining compliance with GAAP, internal controls and Corporate Policies. You’ll be a key Shared Services contact for Internal Audit SOX reviews, as well as the Group Reporting and Statutory phases of the External Audit cycle.
Working with the wider Shared Service teams, the UK Distribution and Manufacturing finance teams, the Global Controllership organization and Regional Finance leadership this role is instrumental in maintaining and enhancing the Financial Reporting framework in the Shared Service Centre.
Financial Reporting – manage, coach, and have oversight for team members responsible for cash management, intercompany, general & opex accounting and market support workstreams, as well as reviewing journals and balance sheet reconciliations. Month End Close – Responsible for submission of financial reporting deliverables for the UK CVML entity in line with US GAAP, internal controls, and corporate policies. Responsible for the budget and forecast of the CVML entity P&L, consolidate the information from functional finance areas and translating this in to meaningful P&L. As well as this, you’ll support the UK CVL revenue reporting and provision calculations and rebate reviews. Controls & Compliance – Full ownership of the financial close SOX controls for Shared Service Centre reported entities, review documentation of financial processes and coordinate UK Finance and IT compliance activities such as Quarterly Checklist submissions, critical spreadsheet, and User Access reviews. Project Support – take part in UAT testing and hyper-care, as well as support the migration of fixed assets and projects data from our legacy system into Oracle.A full job description is available upon request.
About you:
We are looking for a qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA or CIMA) with 5+ years of working in a large matrix organisation and has a broad knowledge of financial reporting and possibly even managed a team in this area. You’ll enjoy working in a shared service centre and ideally would have been exposed to this in previous roles.
A successful candidate would need to confidently communicate monthly/quarterly financial results to senior leaders, have hands on experience of US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), be able to positively influence and work collaboratively across the business.
