Our partner school is a special institution offering provision for learners with a wide range of needs, from moderate to profound learning disabilities. Many pupils at the school have additional needs, including Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), Autism, physical disabilities, medical needs, and sensory impairments.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to students with special educational needs in classroom settings.
  • Assist in the implementation of individualized learning plans tailored to each student's requirements.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes the development of key skills and independence.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to deliver engaging and effective learning experiences.
  • Support students with personal care and mobility needs as required.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with special educational needs is desirable.
  • A compassionate and patient approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A commitment to promoting the well-being and development of all students.
