The Role


To run a line in a production environment. To operate Sofina business procedures to ensure that products meet appropriate standards for food safety, quality and legality. To take personal ownership and ensure products meet and customer requirements

Thursday - Saturday 6am-6pm

£13.66 per hour basic + £3.02 per hour for hours worked on Saturday

Key Accountabilities

To work with and through the relevant engineer and/or Q.A. operative to maximise efficiency and minimise downtime To ensure timely and accurate recording of productivity rates/KPI’s ensuring that daily targets are met for quality, output and yield To ensure accuracy of date codes for products and durability of information on pack, working with and through the Team Captain and the QA Department To develop effective relationships with and through all team leader/ managers/senior managers based on mutual trust and respect To adapt form, presentation and style of information to meet the needs of the audience - senior managers, peers and/or production operatives To implement succession management throughout the team, working with and through the Training Department To develop multi-skilling of operatives thus ensuring staff are motivated and utilised effectively, and KPI targets are achieved To manage and maintain the quality control process in line with quality systems, operating procedures and audits To take ownership of housekeeping under the clean as you go policy for your own area specifically and across all areas generally To undertake any other reasonable duties within the overall function equal with the level of responsibility for the post as directed by your immediate Line Manager Support the team (and colleagues) in the implementation of new initiatives, driving a best practice approach at all times

Skills and Experience Required

Understanding of FMCG industry Understanding of retailer products and quality standards preferable Experience of successfully managing tasks/projects to completion Computer Literate Determined and resilient, with the drive to complete tasks Effective planning and organisation skills Effective communication - written, verbal and non-verbal Promotes a continuous improvement approach by continually challenging and driving standards forward Excellent team working skills
