Are you a Senior Full Stack Engineer? Does working in a games company that delivers one of the worlds leading MMO's sound appealing?

Jagex's Publishing Platform department is responsible for player accounts, payments and distribution of games, published by Jagex.

We are strengthening our multi-skilled team to deliver new payment features on the platform. These include new integrations with payment providers, supporting game promotions or campaigns and modernizing the technology to take full advantage of the cloud.

This is an exciting opportunity to be working on enterprise level, scalable systems, alongside a team of experienced Engineers in a company with a strong, supportive culture.

  • Kubernetes – containerisation
  • Terraform / Helm – infrastructure as code

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead functional and technical analysis, design, programming, testing and maintenance of large product features
  • Create high throughput, reliable and secure systems by exploiting existing and emerging technology and processes
  • Work closely with the Engineering Managers to build the skillset of Jagex Engineers
  • Work with a cross-functional team in a Scrum environment
  • Utilize your existing experience of continuous integration and deployment to shorten feedback cycles
  • Play an active role in shaping the department’s technical principles
  • Mentor and coach Engineers at Jagex

What you'll need:

  • Strong skills in Java and Spring Boot microservices
  • Skilled in using relational DBs, especially Postgres
  • High level knowledge of designing and using REST APIs e.g. OAuth2
  • Experience using TypeScript, React, Express and Redux
  • Familiar working in a DevOps culture
  • Experience creating CI / CD pipelines and associated build & deployment tools
