Main duties of the job

There is significant emphasis on multi-disciplinary workingand the ability to work as an individual as well as a team member is essential.You will be responsible for the planning, implementation and evaluation ofindividualised care plans which ensure delivery of holistic, research basedcare, prioritising commuication, informed consent and relationship building.You will work closely with our multi-disciplinary team of professionals.

Some of your daily duties will be:

Assessing and advising on the needs of women, birthingpeople, partners, families, and carers and providing emotional support duringall stages of pregnancy and postnatal care

Planning, delivering and evaluating standards ofevidence-based midwifery care

Identifying and caring for women with more complexpregnancies

Providing interventions and key messages around PublicHealth including infant feeding

Recognising deterioration in the in the physical or mentalcondition of a patient and taking appropriate action/ escalation and managingemergencies

We are looking for experienced Midwives who are currentlyregistered to practice within the UK and are interested in joining our teams asbank staff. We are really excited about the opportunity to inviteexperienced midwives to apply to join our Bank Teams to help deliveroutstanding, Intrapartum, Antenatal and Postnatal Care to the mothers andfamilies in our area. This includes working within the UNICEF framework forInfant Feeding, and close working relationships with our Screening Team, todeliver all elements of the National Screening programme.

You will be well supported by members of our specialistPractice Development Team who will ensure your support as you transition toyour new role both professionally and personally. As a new to CDDFT Midwife youwill be offered an induction and training programme and access to ourspecialist team of practice development midwives and supervisors who willcontinue to support you as you adjust to your new role.
