Are you an experienced and enthusiastic Reception Class Teacher looking for a new full-time role? Step Teachers are working closely with a fantastic school in Barking in search of a new Reception Class Teacher.


The role of a Reception Class Teacher will include supporting a class of well-behaved and enthusiastic Early Years pupils. This school prides itself on supporting its teachers and other members of staff and its core values of nurture and diversity are at the heart of everything they do. This Reception Class Teacher position is a full-time position subject to start ASAP and continue until the summer term with the opportunity of extension.

Reception Class Teacher role:

  • Able to plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons. 
  • Maintain a well-organised classroom and ensure the safe use and storage of all equipment.
  • Work effectively with other members of staff and Reception Class Teachers throughout the school.
  • Ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback.

Reception Class Teacher Requirements:

  • Must hold Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of the Early Years curriculum.
  • Have recent experience as a Reception Class Teacher in a primary school.
  • Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management.
