SEMH Tutor

Location: Sheffield
Salary: £25 - £30 per Hour
Start Date: September 2024

GSL Education’s branch based in South Yorkshire are currently seeking to employ a number of SEMH (Social, emotional and mental health) Tutor to work across client schools based in Sheffield from September term of 2024.

As an SEMH Tutor, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support and guidance to students who need it most. Your expertise will help these students thrive academically and emotionally, and your dedication will make a lasting impact.

SEMH Tutor Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective one-on-one and group tutoring sessions to students with SEMH needs.
  • Develop personalised learning plans and strategies to support each student’s unique needs.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment to encourage student participation and growth.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and adapting teaching methods as needed.
  • Work closely with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each student's development.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and any issues that arise.

SEMH Tutor Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with students with SEMH needs is essential.
  • Strong understanding of educational strategies and techniques for supporting SEMH students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or a related field are preferred.
