First Line Manager – Chemical Manufacturing
Are you an experience Chemical Process Operator ready to make that next step?
We are now recruiting a First Line Manager to work on our growing manufacturing site at Nufarm Wyke. The purpose of this role is to manage the shift operations of a group of a chemical process plant, utilising resources allocated by the Production Shift Manager to deliver the short-term production plan. You will be making decisions as required within the remit of the role to meet production whilst adhering to the Companies Health, Safety and Environmental procedures.

Be the guardian of our team’s well-being. Operational Mastery : You’ll orchestrate the production symphony. Ensure that products meet quality standards and resource utilization is optimized. Your strategic mindset will drive efficiency and yield. People Empowerment : Lead with purpose. Motivate and develop a team of Operators, fostering continuous improvement in productivity and safety. Your leadership will shape our success. Standard Operating Excellence : Precision matters. Execute all operations according to established procedures. Your attention to detail will keep our processes humming. Emergency Response : When crisis strikes, you’ll be our anchor. Collaborate with the Emergency Response Team, following protocols to maintain control and safety. Continuous Learning : Participate in safety audits, risk assessments, and investigations. Liaise with maintenance for efficient repairs and planned enhancements. Your adaptability fuels progress.What do you bring?
You will have experience working within a COMAH chemical manufacturing site with awareness of complex operations and health and safety regulations. You have team management experience and ideally a degree in chemistry or engineering or equivalent work experience.
