Cargo Security Operative

Aviation Recruitment experts Optime are proudly working in partnership with a well-known Stansted Airport ground handling business to recruit a team of Cargo Security Operatives.

What's on offer:

  • £12.34 per hour
  • Shift Pattern: 7-4-7-3. 4 days- 3 nights- 4 off then 3 days- 4 nights – 3 off.
  • Shifts: 06:00am to 18:00pm or 18:00pm to 06:00am
  • We will require 1 day for AVSEC training (computer based and provided by the client) + 1 day site training.
  • Free parking on site
  • Trained on multiple skill to operate effectively.
  • Weekly pay
  • Temp to Perm (performance based)

Key Duties:

  • Gatehouse, access and egress of vehicles, correct fitting, removal and recording of seal numbers.
  • Managing evacuations.
  • Monitoring airside gates when open.
  • Reception duties signing in and out visitors, checking staff in and out by use of x-ray screening ,wanding and searching. (full training given).
  • Escorting of non- compliant visitors and handing them over to clients staff.
  • Monitor and assess security protocols to ensure compliance with aviation regulations.
  • Identify and report any suspicious activities or potential security threats.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to cargo handling and security procedures.

Requirements:

  • Valid SIA Licence
  • Valid Passport or Driving Licence /Birth Certificate or National ID card.
  • This role requires you to stand for long periods of time (4-6 hours).
  • UK Settled Status (If applicable).
  • Proof of National Insurance.
  • Proof of (current) Address.
  • Successful candidates will be required to complete a basic criminal record check following interview in line with CAA requirements.
