As  Payroll Assistant  you will support in all payroll processes throughout the pay cycle. You will take on the management of employee data, ensuring the accuracy of payroll and processing wages. To ensure employees are paid correctly and on time.

You will be accountable for:

Managing pay queries from designated depots/hubs and employees. Providing information and answering questions about payroll related matters to line managers and employees. Able to manually calculate payable hours, commissions, bonuses, tax deductions, and deductions accurately. Preparing and issuing earnings statements/P45’s/P60’s and other payroll related documents confidently and securely. Managing and processing advance payments. Ensuring the HRPayroll Inbox is maintained, and queries answered within the SLA’s. Work with key stakeholders to obtain relevant T&A information when needed Develop expert status on different areas of payroll i.e absence, change of employment, new starters etc Ad hoc travel to depot/hubs as required by the business.

To be successful in this role you will require the following…

Experience working in a busy payroll environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Cascade Payroll. Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Good time management and organisational skills. Working knowledge of relevant legislation.
