Our client is a leading provider of recycling solutions, dedicated to sustainability, innovation, and safety. They play a vital role in reducing waste and preserving natural resources through efficient and effective recycling processes.
 
Job Type: Permanent, Monday – Friday, 06.30am - 15.30pm
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and supervise all aspects of site production, including sorting, processing, and packaging of recycled materials
  • Ensure and promote high compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental policies
  • Establish a positive and motivated work culture and environment
  • Lead and mentor a team of operational staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure high levels of productivity and quality
  • Monitor production schedules and resource allocation to meet customer demands and delivery deadlines. Coordinate with other departments such as logistics, maintenance, and safety to achieve company goals and objectives
  • Forecast and plan annual/monthly budgets and generate reports for departments leads, predicting future requirements and suggesting strategies to tackle these and optimise production efficiency, minimize downtime, and reduce operating costs
  • Take a cost-effective approach by meeting or exceed production volumes and keep production costs minimal
  • Ensure equipment safety/reliability through training and assessments
 
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in science engineering, business management, or a related field preferred
  • Proven extensive experience in a manufacturing or production management role, preferably within the recycling industry
  • Experience in managing a team, with the ability to motivate and inspire to achieve top results
  • Solid understanding of production processes, equipment, and technology used in recycling
  • Knowledge of safety regulations/legislation and best practices in industrial environments
  • Mechanical and electrical knowledge and experience is also highly beneficial
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications
