We are seeking a highly motivated Lecturer in English to provide a high-quality service to our students on study programmes and apprenticeships, teaching mainly on Functional Skills programmes and GCSE. The successful candidate will play a key role in inspiring and educating students, and this position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the academic and personal development of students while working in a vibrant and supportive academic community.

The role holder will be required to deliver engaging lectures for our Functional Skills and GCSE English courses, develop and update course materials ensuring alignment with academic standards, and collaborate with colleagues to contribute to curriculum development and enhancement. You will also be required to provide constructive feedback to students, along with mentoring and guiding the students in their academic and professional endeavours. 

It is essential that you hold an appropriate qualification in English and a GCSE in Maths at level C or above, and it will also be advantageous to have a proven teaching background with post-16 resit students and experience of assessment and verification of the GCSE English 2.0 Lift specification and C&G functional skills.
