Location : Mobile - Tameside 

Contract : Fixed term, 6 months 

Hours: Monday to Friday 40 hours between 7am to 5pm, plus rota-based on-call requirement

Your new role

About the role

As a Maintenance Assistant with Robertson Facilities Management, you will work daily as part of a small mobile FM team and alongside client representatives, with responsibility for the provision of a comprehensive, high quality property maintenance service across the relevant client sites. 

Your key responsibilities include: 

To ensure that the Facilities are maintained to the levels specified in the Performance Standards of the Project Agreement / Contract. To undertake planned, responsive, and cyclical maintenance work as per the agreed programme. To undertake maintenance duties in such a manner as to support the objectives of the client. To ensure the safe operation of all plant, equipment, and tools To always operate with safe working practices with due regard to Health and Safety Regulations, COSHH, Waste Disposal etc in accordance with legislative requirements and policies and procedures of RFM. To maintain asset histories, maintenance records and helpdesk reports, informing the RFM Lead Engineer and Facilities Manager or sub-contractors of any follow up action that may be required. To report all accidents and incidents as appropriate. The post holder will be required to maintain an awareness of RFM's policies, procedures and objectives related to the successful delivery of the maintenance service.

The successful applicant may be required to submit to Basic DBS background screening before starting in the job. 

About you

We’re looking for a skilled Maintenance Assistant with experience in a buildings or facilities maintenance environment. You'll have basic skills within joinery, plumbing, and general nuildings maintenance.

As this is a mobile role covering several sites, you will have use of a Company van (for business use only). A full, valid, UK Driving Licence is required.
