Your challenges

Joining VELUX, you will be part of a dedicated and highly skilled team focused on selling roof window solutions to our partners . While this can happen in multiple ways, your core tasks will be focused on maintaining and developing commercial relationships with a portfolio of developers and in your region, you will need to communicate with and influence these professional partners on how our solutions create desirable and healthy living environments, while also being attractive for our partners to use our roof window solutions.

As our Project Development Manager, you will be responsible for building the project pipeline in your region. You will deliver high quality interactions by phone, email and both virtual and physical meetings. Based on dialogue and materials provided by the partners, you will identify the needs of our partners, understand their project scope and vision and together with an architect when relevant, offer them design advice for their building project – thereby driving sales for the VELUX Group.

This position ishome-based with regular travel across London. Ideally, you should live within London, or if you can consistently commute 3-4 days a week throughout the area then we encourage you to apply.

More specifically, you will:

Project Assessment and Planning: Collaborate with specifiers, architects and developers to assess project requirements and plans. Advise on the integration of VELUX products, into building designs, promoting VELUX's commitment to sustainable building practices and indoor healthy homes.

Product Knowledge and Expertise: Maintain in-depth knowledge of VELUX product offerings, including technical specifications, features, and benefits. Provide guidance to developers, specifiers and architects on product selection and placement. Support project prospects that you proactively meet to define the right solutions and increase their sales with VELUX

Collaboration and Communication: Serve as a liaison between VELUX and project stakeholders, establishing good working relationships. Attend project meetings, offer technical advice, and address inquiries related to VELUX products. Facilitate effective communication and coordination between all parties involved. Listen and gather information from partners to understand their design needs and key drivers of their project(s)

Technical Expertise: Assist in the development of detailed product specifications and design recommendations. Review architectural plans and ensure that VELUX products are incorporated correctly. Provide technical support and troubleshooting as needed, utlising the internal expertise from within the VELUX business when needed.

Training and Education: Provide training and educational resources to specifiers, architects, and builders on VELUX products. Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and best practices. Organise seminars or workshops with clients where relevant to share knowledge and expertise. Inspire and educate our customers on daylight designs and product guidance and proactively provide feedback and advice

Project Documentation: Maintain accurate project records, including product selections, specifications, and project communication. Prepare and submit project reports to VELUX management as required. Ensure all parties have access to relevant project information.

Ensure holistic understanding of the project, e.g., construction requirements, visual and aesthetic desires, functional needs and the budget and economics

Define the solution and request visualization/render services and other support internally when required

You will play a vital role in ensuring the effective integration of VELUX products into construction projects, offering guidance to specifiers, architects, and developers. Your expertise and knowledge of VELUX products, combined with your project management skills, will contribute to the delivery of high-quality, sustainable, and energy-efficient building solutions.

With your autonomous and structured approach and attention to details, you never lose sight of a project, and meeting deadlines and delivering what has been agreed with the partner is of paramount importance to you. While experience in the construction industry is a plus, we also welcome candidates with relevant experience who can excel in this role. Requirements:

Proven experience in project management, construction, or building product advisory roles

Strong knowledge of construction processes, building design

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Familiarity with sustainability and energy-efficiency standards

Ability to work collaboratively and build effective relationships

Hold a sales-mindset and an ability to close sales and ensure that partners are getting the solution that is right for them

Hold well-developed questioning techniques to ensure in-depth understanding of partner needs

Are curious and excited to learn about our product portfolios and offerings

Have solid IT-skills and familiarity with Microsoft office package and CRM-systems

It would also be an advantage, but not essential, for you to have:

Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related field
