The Role
As the APS 3 Enrolled Nurse, you will work as a part of a team, a key member in the Primary Health Care Team model, completing occupational health reviews and supporting Australian Defence Force Health, including sick parade and triage roles.

You will be able to understand and apply medical terminology and balance the needs of the patients (ADF members) and the health centre capabilities. You will be highly adaptable and able to manage change at short notice.  You will foster customer service within your practice. You will also have the ability to liaise with external stakeholders and other health service providers and facilities including ADF members, doctors, and nurses. You will have strong IT, written and verbal communication skills; previous experience in nursing; well-developed relationship building skills; demonstrated ability to work in a team environment; a strong work ethic and ability to maintain confidentiality.
About our Team

The position is a key part of the Edinburgh Health Centre; however, there may be a requirement to work at the other Defence facilities within South Australia. The APS 3 Enrolled Nurse position reports to the APS 6 Nurse Coordinator. The team is a mix of APS, ADF and Contracted Health Professionals.

Our Ideal Candidate
You are a highly motivated Enrolled Nurse with 2 years post registration acute nursing experience and have an interest in providing a continuum of healthcare to Australian Defence Force personnel who are every bit as committed and focused as you. In addition, you will be responsible for straightforward clinical support and administrative tasks and activities.

You will possess a strong IT skillset for Microsoft Office programs and high willingness to learn unfamiliar IT systems.  You will have strong communication skills. You will have commitment to learn and desire to work for Defence.
