Azure Infrastructure Engineer

About the role
We are a team of people who love and look after six of the most wonderful palaces in the world. We create space for spirits to stir and be stirred.
With over 1000 users across all sites and working remotely, it is crucial that our systems are fit for purpose. We are looking to appoint an Infrastructure Engineer within the Infrastructure Team to assist with maintaining core business systems and develop new solutions as appropriate to support HRP’s cause.
HRP are committed to reducing the amount of infrastructure we maintain at our sites, and to migrating to the cloud wherever possible. Your in-depth knowledge and proven experience of Azure infrastructure-as-a-service technologies will be critical to support this aim and to your success in the role.
Other responsibilities include assisting to maintain existing physical and virtual server environments (including VMWare and Azure) based on Microsoft Server OS, involvement in a wide array of infrastructure projects to ensure that core business systems and applications are secure, stable and future-proof, and becoming a trusted third line resource on issues raised through our service desk.
You will be expected to undertake work across all palaces as required and to provide support on occasion for out of hours events or incidents.

To be successful, you will have proven technical skills and extensive knowledge of Azure, and of all the core components of a medium sized enterprise architecture.
