Cover Supervisor - September Start

Connex Education Solutions is working alongside the Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham Multi Academy Trust as their recruitment partner. We're looking for Cover Supervisors to provide lesson cover in the absence of the class teacher

As a Cover Supervisor, you will oversee classes in the absence of regular teachers, ensuring continuity of learning and maintaining a positive classroom environment. You'll be responsible for implementing pre-planned lessons, managing student behavior, and providing feedback to permanent staff.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering pre-prepared lessons
  • Maintaining classroom discipline
  • Assisting students with their work
  • Recording attendance and reporting any issues
  • Supporting the school's policies and procedures

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be able to quickly build rapport with students and staff
  • Have good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Be confident in managing classroom behavior
  • Have the ability to follow lesson plans and give clear instructions
  • Be flexible and adaptable to different school environments

Experience in education is beneficial but not essential. We also encourage applications from individuals with backgrounds in youth work, coaching, or other related fields.
