Class 1 Casual Tramper Driver

The position of Class 1 Casual Tramper Driver involves:

Collecting and delivering customers products on a curtain sided trailer, this will include a great deal of load security using ratchet straps.Delivering loads throughout the UK both full and groupage loads.Using a handheld PDA to complete paperwork.Dealing with customers face to face and over the phone.Keeping in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and managing our customers’ expectations.This will include nights away.This may also include travelling to a different depot, expenses will be paid.Attending regular training sessions.

Essential skills required for Class 1 Casual Tramper Driver:

Must have a UK Class 1 (CE) Driving Licence.Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.Experience of delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous.Be passionate about providing excellent customer service.Working to deadlines.Confident, polite and a team player.Good geographical knowledge.Due to the nature of the role applicants must be fit, flexible, hardworking and self-motivated.
