About the Role:

GSL Education are actively seeking a qualified English Teacher for immediate placement at a school in Southampton. As a qualified professional, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the literary minds of tomorrow. If you possess ambition and a demonstrated history of attaining successful results and advancements in the field of English, we invite you to join our team.

 

English Teacher role:

· Plan and deliver English lessons in accordance with the national curriculum.

· Demonstrate a strong desire to work within a SEN setting.

· Be approachable, flexible, and adaptable, with a focus on making a positive impact on students' lives.

· Provide support to each student with social, emotional, and behavioural needs in an educational environment.

· Utilise effective communication and relationship-building skills to foster a supportive learning environment.

· Show passion for delivering high-quality education, care, and support to young people.

· When necessary, physically intervene using Team Teach techniques after de-escalation strategies have been unsuccessful (full training provided).

· Build strong team commitment with colleagues and engage pupils to motivate and inspire them in the classroom.

· Acquire appropriate books, teaching aids, and resources as needed

 

Requirements for English Teacher role:

· Must be based in the UK and not require sponsorship.

· Holds QTS or equivalent is essential.

· Exhibits proactive, energetic, compassionate, flexible and adaptable qualities

· Provides a verifiable work history Top of Form

· Demonstrated teaching experience.

· Strong desire to work in a SEN setting.

· Ability to communicate effectively and establish strong relationships.

· Possession of a full UK driving license is desirable.

 

To work with GSL Education as an English Teacher, you should:

· Have the right to work in the UK.

· Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.

· Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
