About you:

This opportunity is suited to graduates with a degree in Town and Country Planning, Geography or a related discipline. Ideally you will possess strong communication and negotiation skills, be able to efficiently manage workloads, and work well in a team. A commitment to excellent customer service is a must, as well as a flexible approach in meeting work demands, and a dedication to ongoing professional development. An understanding of "good development" principles and passion for delivering quality planning outcomes is essential.

About the role:

As part of this role, you'll have the chance to advise customers, conduct site visits, work on different types of planning applications, such as Listed Building Consents, and Lawful Development Certificates, and assist with appeals and enforcement action in the city - all while being mentored by experienced professionals.

This role also offers invaluable exposure to stakeholder engagement through committee meetings, community interactions, and policy development. With a focus on customer service, communication skills, and continued professional growth, you'll develop key skills and knowledge in the ever-evolving field of planning.

As part of this role, there is the opportunity to study for a master's degree and become a Chartered Town Planner.
