MECs Sales and Lettings are seeking a highly motivated and talented Social Media Apprentice to join our fun and dynamic team. The successful candidate will help contribute to developing and implementing social media strategies to drive engagement and traffic to our website. The role requires a strong understanding of social media platforms, particularly Instagram, Facebook and Google Ads. The Social Media Apprentice will work closely with the Videographer and Drone Pilot and be responsible for creating compelling and engaging content, including Instagram reels, as well as managing paid social media campaigns.

Responsibilities:

Assisting with the Planning and creation of content strategies – market research, competitor SEO anaylis, launching and managing paid social media ad campaigns with measurable goals. Understanding the data of campaign performance and relaying that to the stakeholders. You would be keeping up to date with trends and developments in social media and implementing these into our strategy. Short-form video content – create and edit educational video content that adds value to boost audience engagement through the use of Instagram reels, Tik-Tok and YouTube shorts. You would need a strong ability to use CapCut, Splice and built-in editor tools in Instagram and YouTube. Create Professional Graphics – using Adobe Create Suite, PremierPro and Canva, produce still and animated graphics for marketing ad campaigns, website improvements and YouTube/Instagram covers, promotional offers. SEO Techniques – Strengthen our online presence and increase visibility through effective keyword research, website improvements through optimising content for both website landing pages and blogs. Copywriting – long and short form copy for social media platforms, promotional campaigns, storytelling and business updates with newsletters and weekly blogs for the sales, letting and community content. You would be working very closely with ChatGPT. Effective email marketing – using our CRM create, plan and deliver successful email marketing campaigns that drive results. Campaign performance & evaluation of success – be hands on with this initiative and produce measurable metrics and data to Analyse content performance and make recommendations for improvements on future marketing projects.

Person Specification:

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications, experience and attributes:

Essential:

Knowledge in copywriting, social media content creation, and social media advertising. Knowledge in SEO, PPC and google console. Knowledge of Instagram, Facebook and Google Ads Understanding of CapCut, PremierPro and Canva Problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively Forward-thinking and ability to work with Ai Apps like ChatGPT Strong organisational and project management skills Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to take initiative and work independently Must hold a valid driving license.

Desirable :

Preferably knowledge of the property and real estate industry

Requirements:

Maths and English GCSE grade C/4 or above

Training to be provided:

You will be completing the Level 3 Multi-channel Marketer Apprenticeship

(;Formally Digital Marketer Level 3. As of Dec 2023, Digital Marketer has been updated to Multi-Channel Marketer. This new standard expands on the curriculum and provides learning on all aspects of marketing instead of solely focusing on digital marketing.)

As a Multi-Channel Marketer Apprentice, you help with planning, creating and implementing, impactful marketing campaigns across digital platforms. As part of the Marketing team, the multi-channel marketers will contribute to the implementation of the Marketing strategy and plans. They will be responsible for delivering day-to-day marketing activities across a multitude of platforms, channels and systems that are essential to the Marketing function and activities of the company.

Training is a blended learning delivery model: online learning, classroom sessions, work-based training, independent research, workplace projects, one-to-one support and training. Your training will include:

Creating your Portfolio Marketing Principles & Theory Branding Theory and Effective Communication Understanding your Audience & Customer Journey Research Methodologies and Competitor Analysis Understanding Business Vision and Objectives Budget Management – Understanding ROI Marketing Campaign Planning and Scheduling Marketing Plan Implementation Content Creation:Planning and Development Content Creation:Tools (Practical) Copywriting – Persuasive writing techniques Quality, Standards and Legislation SEO: Introduction CMS/WordPress & Cornerstone Content Metrics & Analytics: Measurement tools Reports & Optimisation: Google Analytics

For the Multi-Channel Marketer apprenticeship, there is an end point assessment. This is done in the final part of the apprenticeship and is how the apprentice is judged on their learning and will include: 

• Producing a written Report
• Portfolio of evidence based work
• Presentation and Q&A
• Professional Discussion based on Portfolio
