About the Role Smile Dental Centre are recruiting a practice manager ideally to work 4 days per week. The main responsibilities of the role include: Ensure that the practice meets regulatory and contractual standards whilst remaining financially viable; Providing solid leadership, based on a sound knowledge of business management, finance, planning and human resource management, including recruitment; Driving innovation and modernisation; Meeting the reporting requirements and complying with local and national KPIs and contracts; Co-ordinating and leading the operational delivery of the services, engaging with staff, patients etc; Presenting and analysing data, to monitor quality; Attending meetings; Effectively managing staff; Developing effective partnerships, with other organisations, to benefit the practice; Taking responsibility for security, repairs, insurance and maintenance of the premises, services and equipment; Ensuring that the practice complies with all aspects of Health & Safety at Work legislation; Managing all income, expenditure and accounts, as well as preparing financial reports; Implementing and maintaining systems, under direction from the partners; Handling patient enquiries and suggestions, including oversight of the practice-based complaints procedure; Reviewing and updating the practice’s information leaflet and website; Handling practice publicity and health education materials; Being involved in managing the computer system, including organising any maintenance and developments to the system; Ensuring practice compliance with data protection legislation; Preparing practice business plans and annual reports, as directed. About the Candidate CQC experience; Experience working as a practice manager; Skills to motivate and drive a team forward; Private and NHS practice experience; CQC registered manager; Book keeping experience;
Social media skills; Be reliable, mature, punctual, willing to learn, presentable and hard working; Possess the ability to work under pressure; Have some experience in medical/dental sector; Be passionate about dentistry; Some experience of management will be desirable; Able to demonstrate and excellent can-do attitude; Excellent organisational skills; A fast learner and team player; Treatment coordinator skills and experience is desirable.
