Job summary

Provide a comprehensive administrative service to the Cardiology Cardioversion Service including the co-ordination of the Cardiology Waiting Lists for all Elective Cardioversions and pre-assessment clinics. Working along side the Cardioversion team and Theatres.

Main duties of the job

This post holder will be responsible for managing all patients at WHH and QEQM Hospital who have been referred for a Cardioversion. Booking patients into their pre assessment appointments, ensuring all relevant diagnostics are available for appointments and scheduling patients for their Cardioversion which is held in main theatres. Ensuring patient management continues post Cardiovert.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

GCSE in Maths and English or equivalent. NVQ level 3 or equivalent. Experience of a range of work procedures and practice with a base level of theoretical knowledge.

Desirable

Knowledge of the RTT

Skills

Essential

Able to communicate with, co-ordinate and liaise with a multidisciplinary team. Good interpersonal and organisational skills.

Desirable

Knowledge of Microsoft Excel Able to make judgements involving a range of facts that require analysis.
