Solar PV Sales Representative

Job Overview:

They are seeking a motivated and dynamic Solar PV Sales Representative to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating leads, educating potential customers about the benefits of solar energy, and closing sales. This role requires a deep understanding of solar PV systems, excellent communication skills, and a passion for renewable energy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation: Identify and develop new business opportunities through networking, referrals, cold calling, and attending industry events.
  • Customer Education: Conduct in-depth consultations with potential customers to explain the benefits of solar PV systems, including cost savings, environmental impact, and energy independence.
  • Site Assessments: Conduct preliminary site assessments to evaluate the feasibility of solar installations.
  • Sales Presentations: Deliver persuasive sales presentations and proposals tailored to the needs and preferences of each customer.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, guiding them through the entire sales process and providing ongoing support.
  • Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes affecting the solar market.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the technical and installation teams to ensure accurate project scoping and timely completion of installations.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions in the company’s CRM system. Provide regular reports on sales performance and market feedback.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven track record in sales, preferably in the solar PV industry or a related field.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, environmental science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of solar PV systems, energy storage solutions, and relevant regulations.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Customer Focus: Strong customer service orientation with a commitment to exceeding customer expectations.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to assess customer needs and provide effective solutions.
  • Self-Motivated: Highly driven, with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Team Player: Ability to collaborate with colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment.
  • Technology Skills: Proficiency with CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales-related tools.
  • Licenses/Certifications: A valid driver’s license.
