Job Purpose

IT is undergoing a digital revolution, our global team who support all modalities under the Build Portfolio have established themselves as critical to how we work, it is truly a business enabler at all levels of company operations.

The position as Automation & Development Engineer will maintain the company’s interest regarding operations and development of all aspects under the portfolio including but not limited to Network, Unified Communications, Cloud, Endpoint and Automation.

The position has responsibilities to maintain, design, develop and upgrade serverless cloud applications globally. In addition, participating and running projects to expand current systems or deploy new systems and solutions.

Job Scope

All site Unified Communications infrastructure including but not limited to: Network, Telephony, All Conferencing Modalities, Teams, Audio/Visual Architecture and Solutions, Instant Messaging and Presence, Meeting Room Solutions, Microsoft 365 solutions including Exchange and SharePoint.

Strongly service orientation minded Ability to create, propose new solutions Ability to convince, organize and negotiate Ability to control costs and deliveries, focused in quality objectives Able to work in Global environment and culture, with flexible hour concept Able to reverse engineer legacy practices and procedures in order to implement modern, automated solutions Adequate project management skills and ability to manage time and complex tasks Experience with implementing and supporting Session Border Controllers (SBC's) such as Ribbon or Audiocodes Experience deploying Direct Routing in Microsoft Teams Experience with working in hybrid environments comprising of cloud-hosted and on-premise solutions

Main Accountabilities

The Services in the scope are:

All services included in Network, Unified Communications, Cloud, Endpoint and Automation

Main activities:

Ensure IT Security and continuity providing security patching, software and hardware updates in the Build domain Identify in house processes which could be automated with cloud based or on premise solutions Developing back-end and Azure hosted solutions in JavaScript, PowerShell and Python Front-end development for modern applications using React and CSS frameworks Securing applications and APIs within existing Microsoft IAM environments Managing Azure serverless compute environment for Build projects including resources, credentials, data storage Connect and integrate above solutions in to Service-Now as on-demand products Evaluate new or innovative technologies and architectures in terms of Unified Communications Keep solutions documentation updated Assist with Unified Communications and Collaboration technical changes/projects when required Produce reports, proposals, technical documentation and user guides as required and ensure other team members and business associates are fully trained in the procedures Any other duties prescribed by Head Global Build Operations or their nominate

Typical Background and Experience Required

Must have:

Fundamental to the role is the ability to Interact with global multi-national team and willingness to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies and systems used across the Build portfolio including but not limited to Network, Unified Communications, Cloud, Endpoint and Automation A good team player with the ability to work under pressure Ability to multitask with multiple projects and work independently if necessary Administrative experience with the M365 product suite including Microsoft Teams, Exchange and SharePoint Experience of JavaScript and web development technologies such as APIs, NodeJS, React, JSON, HTML, SQL and NoSQL Understanding of Azure cloud products including Azure Active Directory, Azure Functions, Cosmos DB and App Service Excellent communications and team work skills Flexible attitude to working hours Experience in support & implementation role on supporting large heterogeneous enterprise infrastructure. Experience working with ITIL processes, methodology or structured IT best practice frameworks Strong or excellent communication skill in English Strong personal efficiency and problem-solving skills; very concerned by security and standardisation/rationalisation aspects


Nice to have:

Automation of processes experience Experience with PowerShell Experience with source version control tools such as Git Experienced in creating and completing low level documentation from high level designs and taking this through to completion Knowledge of TechnipFMC Business processes
