Information Security Manager FTC

Reporting to the CIO you will be responsiblefor managing the day to day information security at the firm.Working closely with third party providers you will be responsiblefor ensuring the day to day IT security suppliers perform toexpectations.

You will take part in ongoing andupcoming improvement projects working through the implicationswithin hardware and software changes and upgrades cyber securityrisk analysis and information security policies.

You will lead in the incident response to any information securitybreach working closely with the rest of the IT Team as well as riskand compliance functions.

Previous law firmexperience isadvantageous.

  • Linemanagement of the Information Security Analyst
  • Uses experience and best practice to provideauthoritative advice and guidance on the requirements for securitycontrols in collaboration with experts in other functions e.g.legal technical support. Ensures architectural principles areapplied during design to reduce risk and drives adoption andadherence to policy standards and guidelines
  • Maintains and manages the Security IncidentResponse plans and affected processes
  • Responsibility for oversight of informationsecurity initiatives including audit action points
  • Assesses risks to the availability integrityand confidentiality of the firms systems. Coordinates the planningdesigning testing of maintenance procedures and contingency plansto address exposure to risk and ensure that agreed levels ofcontinuity are maintained
  • Works with externalsecurity providers to proactively maintain a secure environmentDelivers projects in collaboration with other IT Team members tofurther improve the security posture of thefirm
  • Proven track record of delivering securityimprovements to time cost and quality controls
  • CISSP or CISSM certification essential
  • Thorough understanding of GDPR essentialrelated qualifications desirable
  • ISO 27001accreditation and experience of implementing such advantageous
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Intune Group Policy andWindows 10 Security DMARC implementation advantageous
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office; workingknowledge of program/project management software (Basecamp MSProject etc.) Knowledge of professional services and partnershipenvironments advantageous
  • Normal office hoursare 9.30 am until 5.30 pm flexibility required.
    Based inCanary Wharf with occasional travel to a centralLondon.
  • This is an inital 3 month FTC. Salaryis circa 65k (will be on prorata)
  • Must be UKbased.
