Relief Creche Support

CONTRACT : Relief support, as and when required.

This is an exciting opportunity to take a key role in delivering Crèche provision across Torfaen Flying Start Programme. 

The Crèche team support the delivery of the Parenting, Childcare, Early Language and Health in Flying Start by caring for children from birth to age 4 years.

The Crèche team work in a variety of community venues across Torfaen. Often you will need to work in more than one location a day. You must be able to travel around the County Borough.

We are looking for a motivated professional Crèche Worker who shares the Council’s values, core beliefs and guiding principles of being fair, effective, supportive and innovative. Your professional expertise will add to the holistic approach designed to support families to improve outcomes. 

This post requires registration with the EWC - Education Workforce Council

Qualifications / Experience:

Essential 

A relevant qualification in Early Years Childcare such as NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, or qualified to Level 2 and working towards Level 3  A knowledge and understanding of the National Minimum Standards for crèche facilities Knowledge of Wales Safeguarding Procedures

Desirable

Knowledge of Flying Starts aims and objectives
