Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to joinFrameworks substance misuse inpatient unit. We are looking to appoint anappropriately qualified and skilled person to take on the role of Staff Nursewithin the multidisciplinary team.

The Level is a specialist inpatient facility providing service users fromacross the UK access to treatment for detoxification / stabilisation fromalcohol and/or illicit substances. The Level is a nurse led service, overseenby our Consultant in Addictions Psychiatry.

Main duties of the job

The role of the Staff Nurse incorporates taking charge of a shift,assessment prior to admission, liaising with referrers and other specialistexternal agencies, designing plans of care specific to service user need,dispensing medication including controlled drugs, in addition to monitoring,reviewing and evaluating treatment plans which include recovery focussed groupsand 1to1 interventions.

This is a great opportunity for the successful candidate to join awell-established MDT and to take an active role in the continued developmentand promotion of the service. This position offers applicants the opportunityto develop a unique specialism, with development and training opportunitiesavailable. The Level is able to offer preceptorships for newly qualifiednurses. The substance misuse sector is the perfect platform to further enhanceyour physical and mental health knowledge and skills.

Job responsibilities

To provide, and supervise the delivery of high standards of nursing care for the treatment and support of substance dependency and complex health needs, in accordance with up-to-date evidence based practice, national guidelines, and Framework policies.

The main focus of this post is to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team who cover the unit 365 days a year and who are responsible for the delivery and monitoring of high standards of all relevant substance misuse and healthcare interventions.
