Greenspace Assistant

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Greenspace Assistant within our Environmental Services Team. The role will support the delivery of greenspace services across the borough, to ensure the maintenance, management and improvements of high-quality greenspaces across neighbourhoods.

Candidates for this role must be able to demonstrate a positive and enthusiastic approach to work and have an understanding of greenspace issues. The role is diverse working across the borough supporting the management and delivery of a wider range of greenspace services.

This will include working with customers and stakeholders to identify, design and deliver greenspace improvements. The role will include supporting service and contract monitoring, site meetings, surveying, working with customers including residents, schools, contractors, and community groups. The candidate must be able to work as part of a team and alone and be able to priorities workloads, taking responsibility for their own actions.

The role will require excellent verbal and written communication skills working with customers, contractors, and key stakeholders. The candidate will be required to support management and monitoring of services and contracts, including using and updating appropriate IT and financial systems.

A full driving licence and access to vehicle is essential. The successful applicant's appointment will be subject to satisfactory basic clearance by the Disclosure and Barring Service.
