Position: Cover Supervisor

Contract: Flexible (full-time or part-time)

Location: Torbay

Salary: Starting at £100 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Long-Term Teachers support schools across Torbay and are seeking dedicated and passionate cover supervisors to join our team. Our schools are committed to providing a nurturing and supportive environment for all students, including those with special educational needs.


 

About the role:


 

  • Class Supervision: Supervise classes in the absence of the teacher, ensuring a positive and safe learning environment
  • SEN Support: Assist students with SEN, helping them overcome barriers to learning
  • Lesson delivery: Delivering pre-planned lessons, ensuring students stay on track and managing any disruptions
  • Collaboration: Work closely with support staff to enhance the learning experience
  • Student welfare: promote the safeguarding and welfare of students

About You:
  • Experience: Previous experience working with children, preferably within an educational or coaching setting.
  • Qualities: Patient, empathetic, and dedicated.
  • Classroom Management: Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students in their learning.
  • SEN Understanding: Strong understanding of SEN and strategies to support young people.
  • Skills: Adaptable with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Transportation: Able to drive and have access to your own car.
