Fresh Kitchen (part of the Sysco Group) is committed to preparing and delivering quality food products direct to the caterer all around the UK. We’re currently looking for Food Production Operatives to join our team on a full-time permanent basis at our Fresh Kitchen depot based in Bicester, Oxfordshire. 

As a Food Production Operative at Fresh Kitchen you’ll be handling, prepping & weighing ingredients ready for manufacture. You can expect to be in contact with vegetables, meats, fish, and various mixes daily. You’ll be cooking following a recipe method in a brat pan, oven or large kettle which may need physical manual stirring and mixing. At Fresh Kitchen we have very high standards. You must ensure production areas are always clean and presentable adhering to the ‘clean as you go” policies that are in place. This role involves working together as a team following the production systems, procedures, and policies to achieve the daily/weekly production plan that is in line with a production schedule. You’ll be required to be meticulous at record-keeping and adherence to procedures. We value adaptable team players who can efficiently tackle tasks. Your responsibilities will include verifying deliveries, conducting temperature checks, managing stock rotation including support of routine stock takes, and ensuring cleanliness during product handling.

Join us in ensuring quality and precision in food production and distribution. As a Food Production Operative, you will need to be physically fit, the role involves lifting, bending, stretching, and standing depending on the area you are allocated. All items need to be clearly batch coded in line with company procedure and stock rotated therefore you’ll need strong numeracy and literacy skills, and keen attention to detail. You’ll be prepared to join our working environments across both hot and cold production areas, full PPE will be provided. Familiarity with food safety practices is a plus.
