Job Description

Global Investor and Distribution Solutions (GIDS) is the business unit offering this role. GIDS delivers global omnichannel investor servicing, including contact centres using digital services.

Hybrid Opportunity - London/Basildon

We now seek an experienced and dynamic Scrum Master Coach to join our team and drive the successful adoption of Agile methodologies across our organisation. Your Responsibilities

Agile Facilitation: Act as a servant leader and facilitator for Agile teams, ensuring adherence to Agile principles, values, and practices. Facilitate Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to foster effective collaboration, communication, and decision-making.

Coaching and Mentoring: Coach and mentor teams, product owners, and stakeholders on Agile principles, frameworks, and practices. Guide Agile roles and responsibilities, Agile planning, backlog refinement, user story development, and estimation techniques. Help teams continuously improve their Agile practices through regular feedback and coaching sessions.

Process Optimisation: Collaborate with teams to identify process inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement. Work with cross-functional teams to optimise workflows, eliminate waste, and increase productivity. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting experimentation, learning, and adaptability.

Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate effective collaboration and communication between Agile teams and stakeholders, including business leaders, product owners, and external partners. Help stakeholders understand Agile principles and practices and align their expectations with Agile delivery approaches. Ensure transparency and visibility into project progress, risks, and dependencies.

Agile Transformation: Play a key role in driving the organisation's Agile transformation journey. Work closely with leadership to define and implement Agile strategies, frameworks, and best practices. Champion the Agile mindset and help foster a culture of Agile thinking, collaboration, and self-organisation.

Team Empowerment: Empower teams to make decisions, self-organise, and take ownership of their work. Foster a supportive, inclusive environment that encourages innovation, creativity, and continuous learning. Facilitate team-building activities, fostering a sense of camaraderie, trust, and accountability.

Metrics and Reporting: Define and track Agile metrics to measure team performance, predictability, and process improvement. Provide stakeholders with regular status updates, reports, and insights on project progress, risks, and achievements.

Utilise data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement and facilitate data-informed decision-making.

Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or equivalent).
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certifications (PMI-ACP, SAFe, etc.).
  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach, preferably in a software development or IT environment.
  • Deep understanding of Agile principles, frameworks (Scrum, Kanban), and Agile engineering practices (TDD, CI/CD, etc.).
  • Strong facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills, with the ability to inspire and influence teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated experience driving Agile transformations and successfully implementing Agile practices.
  • Familiarity with Agile project management tools and software development practices.
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven mindset.
