Great news Survitec now has the perfect role for you You will ensure that all aspects of tooling & lifting equipment are serviced, tested, and inspected in accordance with the required standards and requirements successfully execute all service, repair and maintenance work in a safe, professional, efficient and profitable manner.

You will act as a Company Representative and Focal Point while on site and off, liaising with the Operations manager, sales and clients about technical queries and solutions at our Great Yarmouth site.

What You Can Expect from the Role

Key Responsibilities and accountabilities after full training:

Repairing and maintaining customer power tools such as drills and angle grinders (but not limited to) Conducting various testing (HAVS, PAT) Labelling the products Raise suggestions to improve our products and processes Ensure assigned daily workload is achieved to meet targets Write up reports following the inspection and tests, submit to the admin team for processing Inspecting and servicing a variety of lifting equipment on customer premises, abroad and in the workshop  Carry out equipment surveys and provide quotations for lifting equipment  Providing customers lifting solutions and technical advice Ensuring all parts are used and correctly booked in the system Operating and maintain static plant equipment used in conjunction with maintenance activities  Carry out the examination, repair, testing or maintenance of lifting equipment and plant in accordance with relevant regulations and standards. Be familiar with test and examination techniques for general lifting equipment to LEEA standards  Reporting any failures of equipment in accordance with LOLER regulations  Work autonomously on site in a safe and professional manner ensuring a high standard of work  Plan your work, prioritising equipment dependant on customer requirements and historic trends Act as an ambassador for Survitec during any routine audits or customer visits  React at short notice to the requirements of the business  Expected, as reasonably practicable, to work throughout all areas and locations of the business as required  Provide cover and support for internal shortages or high workloads throughout the business as required

The Experience, Qualifications and Skills You Will Have

Essential Criteria:

Experience of mechanical/ electrical maintenance Comfortable using hand/power tools Excellent attention to detail Valid driver’s license Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently Appetite to deliver work schedule Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Experience in maintaining/repairing lifting equipment  Willingness to work away from home when required (depends on the business needs) 

Desirable  

Proven operator of overhead gantry cranes and forklift advantageous
