Job summary

Saffron Health are looking for a pro-active, dynamic and self-motivated Senior Pharmacist to lead and manage our existing small team of practice pharmacists and work collaboratively with our PCN pharmacists, ICB Medicines Optimisation Team, local community pharmacists and Higher Education Institutes.

Main duties of the job

As the Senior Pharmacist, you will beresponsible for working closely with our GP Prescribing Lead and PCN SeniorPharmacists to keep oversight of the workload and delivery against QOF and IIFtargets, supporting pharmacy team members in their development and identifyingnew ways of working to increase efficiency and effectiveness of our prescribingprocesses. You will also be responsiblefor maintaining our prescribing policies and keeping oversight of CQCcompliance for safe prescribing. Ideally, you will be an experiencedIndependent Prescriber with your own areas of clinical expertise which will berelevant for the needs of our practice and will have experience of managing ateam.

Our pharmacy team take thelead on a number of QOF areas for the practice as well as supporting thedelivery of the Medicines Optimisation Framework and IIF prescribing indicatorsfor the PCN.Saffron Health is a well-established teachingpractice, offering ongoing mentoring and supervision from our GP PrescribingLead for all our practice and PCN pharmacists as well as the opportunity toattend and lead a variety of internal clinical meetings so that everyone candevelop their clinical skills and knowledge in a supportive and structuredenvironment. We also work closely with local Health Education Institutes tosupport a variety of student activities so you will be encouraged to build goodrelationships with key contacts for pharmacist and pharmacy technicianstudents.
