FUNCTION

To maintain / refurbish, repair and test all press tools including single hit, compound, form and progression tools and associated equipment in an economic, efficient and safe manner, in accordance with legislation, business requirements and agreed standards. You will attend Gateshead College (Automotive and Engineering) in Team Valley on day release each week to complete the theoretical element of your apprenticeship.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain and refurbish existing tooling and associated equipment to keep unplanned downtime to a minimum, therefore maintaining uninterrupted supply of product to all customers.Deliver repair / refurbish to the correct specifications on time and in full to produce correct product measured to customer drawingsEnsure health and safety policies and procedures are fully implemented and adhered toQuickly report to your manager any issues that cannot be resolvedEnsure that the general housekeeping is maintained to the highest standards

This role regularly requires long periods of sitting and standing and use of hands to operate electronic equipment. It will also require reaching with hands and arms as well as stooping or kneeling. Work may also occasionally involve lifting of materials and products.

GCSE English Language or equivalent (Level 4 to 9 / Grade A to C)
