What Is the Opportunity?

Travelers Europe is looking for an Internal Comms Specialist to join our Communications team in London.

Working under supervision, you will support key business initiatives and projects by providing internal communications expertise. You will also execute tactical internal communication assignments that enhance and support Travelers business goals, culture and character. This job does not manage others.

Travelers Europe currently offers flexibility to employees who wish to work on a hybrid basis in accordance with our Hybrid Work Arrangements Policy. This entails full time employees working three days a week in the office and two days at home (or pro rata for part-time employees). This policy may be changed at the Company’s discretion.

This role is eligible for a £1,500 new joiner referral bonus. If you are successfully referred by an employee at Travelers Europe, both you and the person who referred you could be eligible for this bonus.

What Will You Do?

Support the development and execution of internal communications that directly advance business objectives and strategic priorities, while reinforcing Travelers' culture. Work with internal clients to create communication materials that support business objectives and strategy. Create effective and persuasive written materials and develop content for a variety of internal audiences at all levels. Manage our intranet, insideEUROPE – writing of the articles, planning content for the year, uploading content and making edits. Create our weekly newsletter, Spotlight, which goes to all Europe employees. Work with senior leaders to plan and create content for leadership meetings. Arrange and manage occasional events for employees to increase engagement. Demonstrate a general understanding of business strategies and build them into communications approaches and materials. Measure the effectiveness of assigned internal communications through qualitative and quantitative methods. Learn internal communications best practices and use a variety of vehicles and channels for maximum efficiency. Review internal communication materials against established standards to ensure enterprise approval processes, templates and brand guidelines are followed. As an employee you are expected to act in an ethical manner at all times. You will ensure you understand all compliance and regulatory requirements for your role by completing all necessary training and certifications. Perform other duties as assigned.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

A recognised qualification in journalism, copywriting or communications preferred. Alternatively, previous work experience in a communications or journalism environment. Some experience working in a corporate or communications environment would be beneficial. Some experience working in the insurance industry would be beneficial. Basic time management skills. Basic editing and proofreading skills.

What is a Must Have?

Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail.
