A highly reputable secondary school in the charming market town of Devizes, Wiltshire, is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Music to join their dynamic team on a permanent basis starting in September 2024.

Key Responsibilities:
*Plan, prepare, and deliver inspiring music lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
*Encourage students' musical development at all levels of ability.
*Direct and support school musical groups and prepare them for concerts and other performances.
*Assess and record students' progress and provide feedback to promote their educational and personal development.
*Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the delivery of the music curriculum and extracurricular activities.
*Participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher meetings, and whole-school training events.
*Contribute to the school’s ethos, promoting a passion for music and the arts within the school community.

Requirements:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
*A degree in Music or a related field.
*Proven experience in teaching music at secondary school level.
*Excellent piano and/or other instrumental skills; ability to accompany students and ensembles.
*Strong understanding of current educational practices and methodologies in teaching music.
*Experience in directing school choirs, bands, or other musical ensembles.
*Excellent organizational and communicative abilities.
*A commitment to continuous professional development.
