Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work alongside the physiotherapy team in PCH. You will be involved in the assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of patients with Musculoskeletal conditions. You will take hydrotherapy and class based sessions within PCH and in community venues.

You will carry out treatment programs under the guidance of a registered therapist in order to provide rehabilitation and other interventions to facilitate recovery. Some clerical and administration tasks will also be undertaken ( keeping records, filing, photocopying). You will be expected to work independently.

A positive and organized approach to rehabilitation is essential. Good communication skills and commitment to team working within a safe, empathetic and supportive environment are also needed.

This is an excellent opportunity for somebody who has previous experience as a therapy or rehabilitation assistant in an NHS or care setting.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be able to provide support to the therapy team within the physiotherapy outpatient department in PCH.

They will be involved in assessment, progression and discharge planning of this patient group and will be expected to utilize rehabilitation programs. You will be responsible for your own caseload, working both individually and alongside other members of the team.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
