GSL Education are looking for a dedicated and adaptable Supply Teacher to join our schools in Weymouth. This role offers the chance to work in various classrooms while maintaining a healthy work-life balance, making it perfect for those who want to inspire students without a full-time commitment.

As a Flexible Supply Teacher, you will step into classrooms to cover for absent teachers, delivering engaging lessons across different subjects and age groups. Your ability to adapt quickly to various learning environments will ensure that students continue to receive quality education and support during their teacher's absence.

Role: Flexible Supply Teacher
Location: Weymouth
Salary Range: £120 - £150 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate or January 2025

Essential Skills and Qualities that we are looking from you:

  • Deliver engaging lessons in accordance with the provided lesson plans.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, fostering a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Support students in their learning, helping as needed.
  • Assess student understanding and progress, providing feedback where applicable.
  • Maintain a safe and respectful environment for all students.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching in primary or secondary settings is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and staff.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work across various subjects and age groups.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from the last two years.
  • Possess a DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
