Explore Plant and Transport Solutions are a specialist supplier of Transport and Plant Hire services to a wide range of industries including construction, rail and aerospace.
The purpose of the role is to work on Explore’s customer sites, providing high-quality, safe and professional On Track Plant (OTP) operator services. The role holder will be required to operate Explore-owned OTP, working under the control of the designated customer (according to CPA/RPA standard terms).
Main responsibilities
- Safe operation of plant machinery, according to training.
- Completion of pre-shift checks and inspections, according to recommendations.
- Ensuring Explore Rail OTP remains in good condition and free from damage.
- Reporting of any damage or maintenance issues in a timely manner.
- Ensuring all working hours are captured on the assigned time sheet and approved by the customer representative.
- Follow and adhere to the Standard (Fatigue Risk Management) and the company’s fatigue management policy.
Qualifications
- Relevant CPCS operator card.
- Previous OTP Operator experience (excavator crane).
- Competency for OTP and attachment groups.
- Must hold a valid PTS card and Virtual Card endorsed with AC and/or DC lines (DCCR).
- Hold a valid Alcohol, Drugs and Medical Certificate issued by an approved medical provider.
- Clean driving License.
Experience
- Previous experience in a similar role, undertaking duties including Excavator Cranes.
- Previous operational experience in the Rail Industry.
- Excellent Customer Service.
Skills/Knowledge
- Understanding of processes and procedures of large/major Railway Infrastructure sites.
