About the Role

We would like to appoint a highly motivated manager for our new Sensory Impairment Team within the Rochdale Additional Needs Service.

RANS supports schools and helps children with additional needs to develop the skills to become independent learners who can be active in their community. We aim to remove barriers to learning, improve participation, progress and independence through the use of strategies and specialist equipment.

We will work closely with children, families, settings/schools and other agencies, providing specialist advice, training, teaching and assessment where appropriate.

Salary is MPS/UPS+ TLR 1A + SEN (Lower)

About you

The successful team manager will:

  • be a highly motivated team manager, who can lead our team of dedicated professionals
  • be an inspirational leader, who has recent experience within education
  • be able to lead a team of professionals and be an excellent communicator
  • have a wealth of experience working in schools with children and families
  • have a wide knowledge base of working with children who have a sensory impairment and the statutory framework around this
