Job Title: Postal Worker - Collections (Driving Licence required)
Location: Royal Mail, Ayr
Start Date: 11th November 2024
Contract Length: Until 7th January 2025
Pay Rate: £16.58 per hour
Working Hours: 12:30pm - 18:30pm, Monday - Friday
Overtime may be available.
If successful, you must be able to pass a disclosure check.

Pertemps are delighted to be supporting Royal Mail in recruiting Parcel Drivers in the Ayr area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • You'll start your day in the local depot where you will be allocated a number of parcels to collect over the course of your shift.
  • You'll be given a hand-held device to capture customer signatures for collections. The hand-held device will also act as your routing system, telling you where to go to next.
  • The role will be physically demanding and walking (sometimes for large distances) will be required. You will also be required to collect parcels weighing up to 20kg.
  • Driving will be required for this role.

Key Skills:
  • Valid UK driving license with a maximum of 6 points. (a clean license is preferred)
  • Previous delivery or driving experience preferred but not mandatory.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service abilities.
  • A commitment to safe and responsible driving practices.
  • Working outdoors in all weathers is required
