DearApplicant for one of our client a pioneer in bundling logisticsinfrastructure and leveraging edge intelligence through hivemethodology we are looking for a a Research and Development(R&D) Manager to lead clients Analytics and PlatformDevelopment team. This role is pivotal in driving our nextevolution focusing on developing a robust scalable analyticsplatform on major cloud services like Azure AWS or Google Cloud.The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader capable of managinga dynamic team and fostering innovation in a fastpacedenvironment.
Responsibilities:
- Leadthe development of a cloudbased analytics platform tailored for thelogistics industry.
- Manage a team of skilledprofessionals including three core developers with additionalsupport from DevOps and device managementteams.
- Oversee the entire project lifecyclefrom concept to deployment ensuring adherence to timeline budgetand quality standards.
- Collaborate withcrossfunctional teams to align the platform development withoverall business objectives and customerneeds.
- Foster a culture of innovation andcontinuous improvement within theteam.
- Regularly report on project progresschallenges and strategies to senior management andstakeholders.
- Stay abreast of the latest trendsand advancements in cloud computing data analytics and logisticstechnology
Requirements:
- Bachelorsor Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or a relatedfield.
- Proven experience (minimum 5 years) inleading R&D projects preferably in cloud computing and dataanalytics.
- Strong technical expertise incloud services (Azure AWS or GoogleCloud).
- Prior experience in the logistics orrelated industry is highly desirable.
- Excellentleadership and team management skills.
- Strongproblemsolving abilities and a resultorientedapproach.
- Excellent communication skills bothverbal and written.
- Ability to work in afastpaced and dynamic environment.
- Knowledge ofDevOps practices and IoT device management is aplus.
- Proficiency in AI machinelearning and edgecomputing.
- Experience with cloud infrastructureand development.
- Knowledge of relevantprogramming languages and tech stacks.
- Strongleadership skills to manage and inspire R&Dteams.
- Experience in project planning budgetingand timeline management.
- Must be eligible towork in theUK.
