Our growing portfolio of work means we are looking for a Trainee Safety Coach – HSEQ Advisor to join our team based out of Gateshead and working across the Northeast of England.

As a Trainee Safety Coach - HSEQ Advisor, you will be fully supported and mentored by an experienced team, with tailored training and development to help you gain a deep understanding of HSEQ principles within the utilities and civil engineering sectors. This role offers significant growth potential and a clear pathway to becoming a fully qualified HSEQ professional.

What We expect of you:

Under the direction of our HSEQ professionals you will assist in the implementation and monitoring of HSEQ policies and procedures, conducting site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

You will support incident investigations, reporting findings to the HSEQ team, and with guidance provide advice to site teams and employees on safety, environmental, and quality standards. Your role will involve helping to maintain and improve these standards, assisting in the preparation of risk assessments and method statements (RAMS), and participating in HSEQ training sessions and workshops to promote ongoing learning and development.

You should have recently completed or be working towards a NEBOSH qualification, with a strong interest in Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality. You should demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow within the HSEQ sector, coupled with excellent communication skills and attention to detail. The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team is essential, and while not mandatory, holding a full UK driving licence is preferred.
