Main duties of the job

The role will support primarily all admin withinour Integrated Neighbourhood Teams across Barnsley. This will be supportedthrough strong development plans, team working and examination of structures.The successful candidate will be directly responsible for managing staff andtherefore, will possess HR Management skills and will have previously held a supervisoryrole.

Our administrative team support clinical colleaguesin the delivery of a quality patient experience. You will help to lead in the ongoingdevelopment/transition of a full and comprehensive administrative support servicewithin Barnsleys Integrated Services Care Group and theIntegrated Neighbourhood Teams. By joining the existing team, you will become astrong team player and assist us to further develop our mobilisation plan ofneighbourhood teams.

The successful candidate will be educated to NVQlevel 4 in Business Admin or possess an equivalent qualification or experiencein a relevant discipline. It is essential that you have the ability to workflexibly, and the post holder will be expected to work at other locationswithin the area. As such a car driver with regular access to a car isessential.

The working week will be: Monday to Friday (hours per week, hours per day).

Job responsibilities

This position is designedto provide a flexible role to support and manage change to meet Business Unitobjectives

Undertakedelegated duties under the supervisionof the Business Administrative Manager.Consulting as necessary and working collaboratively to deliver a comprehensiveservice.

Provide services within well-establishedpolicies, procedures, protocols, guidelines, whilst acting within the requiredsphere of competences for the role at all times.

Work in partnership with others;develop knowledge to promote an holistic service.

Demonstrate sound knowledge of theservice to enable the post holderto contribute and inform decision making within the service.

Supervise and delegate work to Admin/secretarial staff, participatein their induction, training, appraisal etc.

May be required to work inchallenging environments which could include lone working and conflictresolution.

Undertake and maintain the requiredstatutory, mandatory and core training as required by the specific area of service.

Work flexibly to meet the needs ofthe service.

Qualifications

NVQ level 4 in Business Administration or equivalent level qualification. Or, be able to demonstrate competency at level 4 in an Admin/secretarial /supervisory position.
