About the role

We’re pleased to share an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Corporate Prospective Analyst.


Within the role you will analyse and assess commercial business prospects to share with partner Agents as well as act as a senior referral point for technical queries within the Prospecting Team, assisting with complex issues. You will deliver short-term projects and you will monitor the accuracy of work completed by Corporate Prospecting Analysts and Coordinators, providing feedback and upskilling to ensure data accuracy and completeness. Additionally, you will support the technical development and training of team members to meet required standards and fully realise the benefits of the Prospecting team.


In this role, you will assess corporate risks in line with our underwriting risk appetite, working closely with Head Office Underwriting and NIS to support profit and growth objectives while managing insurance risk. You will gather and analyse business and financial information to create detailed customer research documents, identifying risk features and sector insights, and providing recommendations for next steps.


You will manage the prospect qualification process to generate 'risk qualified' opportunities for partner NFUM Agencies, building and maintaining relationships with Underwriters, NIS, and Agents to ensure consistency in risk assessment and continuous improvement of processes and systems. Accurate documentation and compliance with underwriting technical requirements are essential, as you will complete and submit necessary reports.

About you

For this opportunity, we’re seeking a professional with strong experience within Commercial Underwriting gained at NFU Mutual. You will be able to demonstrate an excellent knowledge of NFU Mutual’s risk appetite and its application.
You will be a strong communicator with the ability to forge and maintain effective stakeholder relationships at all levels of seniority as well as the ability to influence decisions.
